Iranian short ‘Talker’ to vie at Hungary fest

Iranian ‘Talker’ is to vie at the 2020 Faludi Int’l Film Festival in Hungary.

Iranian short flick ‘Talker’ has been selected to compete at the 23rd edition of the Faludi International Film Festival and Photo Competition in Hungary.

Directed by Mehrshad Ranjbar, the 13-minute film tells the story of an old woman who has taken care of her sick husband for many years, but an incident disturbs the order of her life.

The cast list of the short film includes Maryam Nourafkan and Abbas Jalallou.

‘Talker’ has previously won the best film award at the 2020 edition of the Tirana International Film Festival in Albania.

The Faludi festival aims to promote amateur filmmakers and present films and pictures that form a dialogue between different viewpoints.

According to festival’s official website, “In recent years miracle, sacrifice, mercy, trust, loyalty, thirst and love have been chosen as the theme of the festival, just to name a few. It is essential for the films and photos to have an original message which they express through the language of pictures”.

The 2020 edition of the event is slated for November 18-21.
