The film produced by Ali Mosaffa and directed by Farnoush Samadi, was screened at the On Air International Competition section of the 2020 edition of the event.

The flick features a tragedy that strikes at the heart of a wedding. It is about a school teacher who is preparing to attend a wedding ceremony but her husband suddenly forbids her to go. This makes her do something crazy that results in very bad consequences.

Samadi’s feature directorial debut recently participated in the Discovery section of the 45th Toronto Int’l Film Festival (TIFF) and has been picked as the best film of the TIFF by the Seventh Row, a Canadian not-for-profit publication.  

The cast includes names such as Sahar Dolatshahi, Pejman Jamshidi, Hassan Pourshirazi and Azita Hajian.

The TOFIFEST is a film festival that takes place annually in Torun, Poland. Its mission is to promote independent cinema. The festival combines Polish and global dimensions in the context of an adventurous and defiant breadth of content, including auteur cinema, and premieres of films presented in Cannes, Berlin and Rotterdam, building a bridge between high and popular art. The festival also includes meetings, seminars, concerts and workshops.

The 18th edition of the TOFIFEST launched on October 17-25, 2020.
