Iranian short ‘A Trivial Thing’ to vie at FFTG Awards Film Festival

Iranian short ‘A Trivial Thing’ is to compete at the 2020 FFTG Awards Film Festival in the US.

Iranian short film ‘A Trivial Thing’ has been selected to compete at the 2020 edition of FFTG Awards Film Festival in the US.

Directed by Seyyed-Morteza Sabz-Qaba, the short film narrates the story of a young man who wishes to become an actor and play on theatre stages.

Also written by Sabz-Qaba, the short film’s cast includes Majid Ardalan and Ali Qasemi.

The 12-minute short has already participated in a number of global film events, including the Kanyakumari International Film Festival in India, the Merida Film Festival in Mexico, the Lift-Off International Film Festival in the UK, the 4th Venice International Film Festival, and the Alter do Chao Film Festival in Brazil.

The FFTG Awards aims to provide an opportunity for independent filmmakers to showcase their films.

According to the FFTG Awards’ website, “its mission is to enable and empower everyone who has a passion for filmmaking. FFTG Awards aims to present the widest choice of content from around the world by providing filmmakers a platform to showcase their stories and connect them with its audience, establish their brand”.

The event is slated for December 5-13, 2020.
