Iranian ‘Redundancy’ to vie in Portugal

Iranian ‘Redundancy’ is to compete at the 2020 Ocean Coast Film Festival in Portugal.

Iranian short flick ‘Redundancy’ has been selected to compete at the 3rd edition of the Ocean Coast Film Festival (OCFF) in Portugal.

Directed by Keivan Sarvari, the film is made to reduce social harm. It narrates the story of two colleagues who, facing an incident, are entangled in a strange situation.

The cast of the film includes Aziz Nemati, Somayyeh Rahimi, Souran Rezvanizadeh, Shadab Kokabi, Arsam Hossein-Panahi, and Niha Sheikhi.

‘Redundancy’ has previously competed at several international film festivals in Cyprus, India, and Iran, garnering some precious awards.

The OCFF aims to screen unique and inspiring films for enthusiastic audiences.

According to the festival’s official website, the “event will provide a platform for independent filmmakers to showcase their work and meet other like-minded people”.

The 2020 edition of the festival is slated for December 5-6.
