Iranian short ‘Warehouse’ nominated at GIMFA

The 2020 Gralha Int’l Monthly Film Awards in Brazil nominates Iranian ‘Warehouse’.

The November edition of the Gralha International Monthly Film Awards (GIMFA) in Brazil has nominated Iranian short flick ‘Warehouse’ in 9 categories.

The short film is nominated for Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Actor, Best Editing, Best Production Design, Best Sound Design, Best Trailer, and Best Poster awards.

Directed by Hossein Torkjoush, the short film depicts an incident in a waste paper warehouse that leads to police forces interference.

The cast of the film includes Ali Yaqoubi, Mohammad-Reza Halalzadeh, Odin Roshan, Fazel Qannadi, Ali Pilehvar, Shiva Sarmast, Vahideh Akbari-Nasab, Morteza Hosseini-Rad, Vahid Baqeri, and Hamed Kerivand.

The monthly GIMFA aims to promote the best films in cinema of the world. The festival is an opportunity for independent films to go on screen.

“All monthly selections will receive a laurel of selected. And the winners will receive a winner's laurel and a high-quality certificate,” the festival’s website writes.

This edition of the GIMFA is slated for December 1.
