Iranian short flick ‘Forouzan’ has been selected to compete at the 11th edition of the Macau International Short Film Festival (SiC) in China.

Directed by Mirabbas Khosravinejad, the Iranian film tells the story of a young woman whose husband has recently passed away.

She lives with her two young children in a village and protects a herd of sheep against the attack of thieves at night.

According to the Macau filmfest’s official website, “it awards the best short films in Fiction, Documentary, and Animation worldwide, motivating local productions and encouraging overseas productions to compete in Macau."
