Salerno filmfest hosting ‘Metamorphosis in the Slaughterhouse’

Iranian feature film ‘Metamorphosis in the Slaughterhouse’ has been screening at the Salerno International Film Festival in Italy.

Directed by Javad Daraei, the film is among the competition titles of the 74th edition of the Italian film event.

When her parents were accused of murdering a girl and thus killed by the villagers, Shadi was only a little girl. She was, then, adopted by her uncle and grew up. Shadi must now face the problems that the village residents cased them.

Sarina Yousefi, Fariba Talebi, Saeed Ahmadi, Fariba Torkashvand and Farahnaz Manafizaher are some of the cast members of the flick.

‘Metamorphosis in the Slaughterhouse’ has already been screened at a number of global events, including the Int’l filmfest Cyprus and the Efebo d’oro Int’l Cinema and Narrative Award in Italy.

This year’s edition of the Salerno International Film Festival kicked off on November 30 and it is set to wrap up on December 5.
