Iranian classical movie ‘Mother’ has been narrated for the visually impaired audiences.

One of Ali Hatami’s blockbusters ‘Mother’ has been narrated by Ehteram Boroumand for the blind audience prepared by the CEVINA Group, marking the death anniversary of the director.

The film will be available on Radio CEVINA on Thursday. It will be on the group’s official website.

Every week, CEVINA group publishes the audio files of two nostalgic classic movies for people with visual impairment.

The group has already published ‘Casablanca’ read by Sahar Dolatshahi, ‘Bicycle Thieves’ read by Mohsen Bahrami and ‘Gone with the Wind’ read by Shabnam Moqadami.

Late Iranian director Ali Hatami was one of Iran’s most prominent filmmakers, directing brilliant films including ‘Mother’ and ‘Hezardastan’.

Born on August 14, 1944, Hatami was a filmmaker, screenwriter, art director and costume designer.

Due to the authentic and poetic ambiances in his movies, the director has been known as the Hafez of Iranian cinema - a metaphoric reference to the great Persian poet.

Hatami also wrote a number of plays such as ‘The Demon and Bald Hassan’, ‘Adam and Eve’, ‘The Fisherman’s Story’ and ‘City of Oranges’.
