Mexican FICMA hosting Iran’s ‘Echo’

Iranian ‘Echo’ is participating in the FICMA in Mexico.

Iranian short animation ‘Echo’ has been participating in the International Film Festival with Alternative Media (FICMA) in Mexico.  

Barzan Rostami’s 7-minute short film is currently on screen at the Digital Animation Short Film section of the Mexican fest’s 5th edition.

‘Echo’ is about understanding and perception of wildlife and environmental abuse, as well as its consequences on human race.

The film has been shown at a number of global events, including the Smaragdni Eco film festival in Croatia, the R.E.D International Film Festival in Norway, the Snake Alley Festival of Film in the US, and the International Tour Film Festival in Italy.

The flick’s screening at the Southern Cone International Film Festival in Mexico brought it the Best Short Film award.

In Polish Wlodzimiers Puchalski International Nature filmfest, it grabbed a Special Jury Prize.

And, the Pink City International Short filmfest in India bestowed its Best Sound Designing award upon the film’s sound engineer, Hossein Ghorchian.

The FICMA accepts films that have been made using latest advancements in audiovisual technologies.

This year’s edition of the fest kicked off on December 1 and it will wrap up on December 5.
