Persian filmfest to screen ‘Like a Good Kid’ in Australia

The Persian Film Festival is to screen ‘Like a Good Kid’ in Australia.

The 2020 edition of the Persian Film Festival has been set to screen Iranian short flick ‘Like a Good Kid’ in Australia.

Directed by Arian Vazir-Daftari, the 20-minute flick will go on the Australian screen on December 6, 2020.

It narrates the story of Sarah, a 22-year-old babysitter who looks after Matin, a five-year-old toddler.

One day, Matin tells Sarah a story which makes her decide to steal from the house.

‘Like a Good Kid’ has so far experienced a number of international film events, including the Visioni Corte International Short Film Festival in Italy, the Brno 16 International Short Film Festival in the Czech Republic, the Crossing the Screen Film Festival in the UK, the Torun International Film Festival in Poland, the Tirana International Film Festival in Albania, and the Brussels International Short Film Festival in Belgium.

The cast list of ‘Like a Good Kid’ includes Shadi Karam-Roudi, Negar Abedi, and Yazdan Kokabi-Saba.

Inaugurated in 2011, the Persian Film Festival emphasizes the richness of Iranian cinema and Persian-speaking filmmakers around the world.

The Persian-speaking films from directors around the world compete in three categories of Feature Films, Short Films, and Documentaries.

The 2020 edition of the Persian Film Festival is slated for December 3-6.
