Iranian doc ‘Wave or Particle?’ wins in France

The 2020 Mediterranean Film Festival Cannes in France honors Iranian doc ‘Wave or Particle?’.

Iranian documentary ‘Wave or Particle?’ has received an Honorable Mention at the 5th edition of the Mediterranean Film Festival Cannes (MFFC) in France.

Making ‘Wave or Particle’, Alireza Rahman-Talab aims to give the audience an easy-to-understand description of quantum physics.

He believes we have little knowledge about quantum physics, however most of us have heard the title.

Rahman-Talab’s work helps the audience explore the world of atoms and discover its amazing realities.

The documentary addresses the question of “are humans the only creatures that have the power to understand the environment?”

Rahman-Talab says making the documentary required two years of researches. He calls himself a filmmaker interested in Physics.

Iranian experts Hashem Rafiee-Tabar from Oxford University, Afshin Shafiee from Sharif University of Technology and Dr. Jamshid Aram participated in conducting the doc project.

According to the MFFC website, “The festival aims to promote independent filmmakers and innovative work that take risks and move the frontiers from the boring and most of the times empty conventional to the artistic initiating strong emotions and out of the box exceptional. It equally aims to give the opportunity to independent filmmakers to showcase their work free of commercial constraints”.

The 2020 edition of the festival was held on November 27-30.
