The 19th Dhaka International Film Festival (DIFF) in Bangladesh is set to screen Iranian feature film ‘The Black Cat’.

‘The Black Cat’ will take part in the DIFF’s “Cinema of the World” section, which accepts feature films of all genres from across the world.

According to the festival’s website, an Audience Award will be given to one of the participating films which will be selected by the viewers.

Directed by Karim Amini, ‘The Black Cat’ is produced by popular Iranian actor Bahram Radan.

Written by Ali Asghari, the film targets a young audience.

“It all started with a sunset that was no longer bleak,” a synopsis for the film reads.

The film is starring Tarlan Parvaneh, Kia Rokni and Hossein Pourkarimi.

Earlier reports said a good number of films made by prominent Iranian director Pouran Derakhshandeh will be reviewed at the DIFF as part of the “Retrospective” section.

The 19th DIFF will be held on January 16-24, 2021.
