The Hyrcanian Forests form a unique forested massif that enjoys a floristic biodiversity.
It extends from southeastern Azerbaijan eastwards to Iran’s Golestan Province.
The Hyrcanian Forests are situated within the Caspian Hyrcanian mixed forests ecoregion.
