The stars have been cast to play the main roles of James Foley’s limited series ‘Reagan & Gorbachev’, which will be available to international streamers soon after the production.
The new show will be a dramatic account of what happened during the 1986 summit in Iceland, in which the two heads of huge powers in the world sat to define their future dealings.
The 48-hour summit then changed its nature and actually defined the destiny of the Cold War.
The show is based on a Ken Adelman’s book, ‘Reagan at Reykjavik: Forty-Eight Hours That Ended the Cold War’. Adelman himself was Reagan’s arms control director.
Foley, the director of the new project, has previously made the political TV drama ‘House of Cards’, which simply reflects on the corruption that governs the US oval office.
