Ashkan Hatami’s short film on COVID-19 will join competition at the 5th edition of the Indian event.
‘Night Nurse’ is the story of a nurse at the coronavirus patients’ ward in a hospital. She has left her daughter at home to go take care of the COVID-19 patients. She later contracts the disease herself and passes away.
The short has recently received the best film award at the Hak-is International Short Film Festival in Turkey.
Launched in 2015, the IISF aims to celebrate Science and Technology. According to the festival’s official website, “it aims to demonstrate how science could lead India towards a developed nation within a short span of time”.
The event intends to inspire interest and make learning more satisfying.
The 2020 edition of the event is slated for December 22-25.
