Kolkata festival to screen ‘That Night's Train’

Iran’s ‘That Night's Train’ is to be screened at the Kolkata Int’l Children's Film Festival in India.

Iranian feature That Night's Train’ has made its way to the Kolkata International Children's Film Festival in India.

Iranian media reports said on Wednesday that ‘That Night's Train’ will take part in the competition section of the Indian event.

Directed by Hamid-Reza Qotbi, ‘That Night's Train’ is about a little girl who takes the promise of a writer, whom she met on a train, very seriously and is waiting for her call or meeting her again.

But that issue inspires the writer to write a new novel.

The girl’s efforts to get rid of nostalgia and a nightmare, and the help of her father, the author's publisher and the man in the railway station result in new incidents.

The film is starring Afshin Hashemi, Siamak Safari, Maryam Boubani, and Bahram Shakeri.

‘That Night's Train’ has so far participated in various festival, including the Olympia International Film Festival for Children and Young People in Greece, the Schlingel International Film Festival in Germany, the Cinekid Festival in the Netherlands, the China International Children's Film Festival, and the Asian Film Festival Barcelona in Spain.

The 2021 edition of the Kolkata International Children's Film Festival will take place on January 22-26.
