Iranian short ‘A Trivial Thing’ vying at Int'l Folklore Film Festival

Iranian short film ‘A Trivial Thing’ is competing at the 2021 International Folklore Film Festival.

Iranian short film ‘A Trivial Thing’ has been competing at the 4th edition of the International Folklore Film Festival (IFFF) in India.

Directed by Seyyed-Morteza Sabz-Qaba, the short film narrates the story of a young man who wishes to become an actor and play on theater stages.

Also written by Sabz-Qaba, the short film’s cast list includes Majid Ardalan and Ali Qasemi.

The 12-minute flick has already participated in a number of global film events, including the Kanyakumari International Film Festival in India, the Merida Film Festival in Mexico, the Lift-Off International Film Festival in the UK, the Venice International Film Festival in Italy, and the Alter do Chao Film Festival in Brazil.

The IFFF hosts folklore-based short and documentary films from around the world. The festival will have both online and physical screenings.

The event is being held on January 8-10, 2021.
