Iranian ‘Bullets of Baptism’ to vie at US fest

Iranian ‘Bullets of Baptism’ is to compete at the 2021 Red Dirt filmfest in the US.

Iranian short flick ‘Bullets of Baptism’ has been selected to compete at the 8th edition of the Red Dirt Film Festival (RDFF) in the US.

Directed by Zivar Hojjati, the 12-minute film tells the story of a man encountering himself.

The dialogue-less short film is a realistic depiction of this man in different situations.

‘Bullets of Baptism’ has only one character, played by Akbar Kholqi, and everything is happening in his mind.

The movie has participated in a number of international film festivals, including the 2020 Crossing The Screen film festival in the UK and the 2020 MikroFAF-International festival of DIY and independent short film in Serbia.

The RDFF brings the audience a collection of films and live music.

The event, recently named as one of the top 100 film festivals, is a place for filmmakers to showcase their works.

The Red Dirt was formed to bring more inspiration, culture, and entertainment to central Oklahoma, as well as to enliven people of all ages through the united power of the film medium.

The 8th edition of the event will be held on March 12-14, 2021.
