Archeology filmfest nominates Iranian ‘The War Within’

The 2021 Archeology Channel Film Festival (TAC) in the US has nominated Iranian short flick ‘The War Within’.

Directed by Javid Farahani, the short film focuses on themes such as capitalism, currency, dollar, the imperialism of World Bank’s new system, and bourgeoisie.

Also written by Farahani, the cast list of ‘The War Within’ includes Farhad Najafi and Shima Khosh-Eqbal.

The short flick has been screened at the 74th Salerno International Film Festival in Italy.

The director’s previous film titled ‘Under the Blade’ took part in more than 50 international festivals.

The 18th edition of the TAC will host films from around the world.

According to festival’s official website, its mission is to exhibit for the audience “the wonderful diversity of human cultures past and present in the exploration of our place in history and in our world. To promote and celebrate the genre and the makers of all audiovisual cultural heritage media”.

The 2021 edition of the event will be held on May 12-16.
