‘Shahrbanou’ releases first pictures

Iranian movie ‘Shahrbanou’ has released first official pictures of makeup looks of two main stars.

Maryam Bahrololoumi’s latest directorial experience has published first pictures of the film featuring Yousef Teymouri and Behnaz Jafari.

'Shahrbanou' is a social drama depicting the story of a family dealing with an unspecified challenge.

Bahrololoumi was the recipient of the 36th Fajr Film Festival’s Best First Film Director award for her directing debut ‘Patio’.

Born in 1974, Behnaz Jafari is a theater, television and cinema actress. She studied Dramatic Literature in the Islamic Azad University.

She has appeared in various TV series, including ‘The Rise of Mokhtar (Mokhtarnameh)’ (2008), ‘Scarlet Soil’ (2000), ‘Time of Rebellion’ (2000-2001) and ‘It's All There’ (2014).

Jafari has also played roles in films such as ‘Fire and Water’ (2000), ‘The Visitor of Rey’ (2000), ‘Kandelous Gardens’ (2004), ‘A Time for Love’ (2007).

Her performance in ‘A House on the Water’ (2001) won a Crystal Simorgh for Best Actress in a Supporting at the 20th Fajr International Film Festival.

‘The President's Cell Phone’ (2011) earned Jafari a Diploma of Honor for Best Actress from the 30th Fajr International Film Festival.

Graduated from IRIB Arts High School, Yousef Teymouri started his acting career in theater in 1994, with art masters such as Hamid Samandarian, who also trained him.

His debut TV series was 'Fresh Air' (1996) by Mohammad Rahmanian, though it was his role in the drama 'Apple for Laughs' (1998) that made him a household name.

Teymouri has taken parts in a number of movies, including 'The Pastry Girl' (2001), 'Boutique' (2003), 'The Distinguished Suitor' (2006), 'Crazy for Leili' (2007) and 'The Mouse' (2008).

He has also appeared in several TV series, such as 'Under the City Sky' (2003), 'Aqaqiya Alley' (2004), 'The Residential Base' (2007), 'What Goes Around, Comes Around' (2011), 'Rooster' (2013), 'Relatively Bad Guys' (2014) and 'Ahmeen' (2014).
