‘Horizons Extra’ to replace Sconfini at Venice filmfest

The organizers of the Venice International Film Festival have replaced a section to the event.

The 2021 edition of the festival has added a new section ‘Horizons Extra’, having a few other changes in competition and non-competition sections.

The new section is to replace Sconfini Section which was among the credible sections of the event.

Founded in 1932, the Venice International Film Festival is the oldest film event in the world and one of the “Big Three” fests alongside the festival of Cannes and the Berlin International Film Festival.

This year’s edition of the Venice event, which kicked off on September 2, is slated to wrap up on September 12.
