Sculptors have been set to compete at national, international and student sections of the 10th edition of the Tehran International Sculpture Symposium from February 19.

Executive director of the symposium Majid Haqiqi said, “Ten sculptures have been selected out of 165 submissions, while 8 sculptures will be competing in the student section, and three by sculptors from Italy, Greece and Turkey will be competing in the international section.”

Talking during a press release published on Sunday, Haqiqi also noted that the international section was warmly received by the sculptors.

The secretariat of the event has received 224 submissions by 124 sculptors from 38 countries. However, the organizers decided to select only a few sculptors due to the coronavirus situation.
