The film directed by Alireza Teymouri, is to represent Iran alongside other Iranian films including ‘My Father’ and ‘The Blackout’.
Supported by the South Regional Film Organization and the Swedish Institute Film, “Mostafa is an Afghan man who lives with his family in Iran. This family does not have any identity cards and this creates a problem for them,” a short synopsis of the film reads.
The Cefalu festival awards the best film, selected from among 100 short movies, one thousand Euros. There are also other competition sections for the special jury prize, the best director award, the best actress and best actor awards, best foreign short film, and the best animated short film, as well as the best script and best music.
The seventh edition of the event is slated to open on February 1.
