ifilm English TV has published ‘O’ Khomeini, the Imam’ revolutionary chant, honoring Imam Khomeini’s return to Iran in 1979.

‘O’ Khomeini, the Imam’ is a song in praise of Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, by a group of university students weeks before the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979.

The song is registered on Iran’s list of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage.

The song was composed by Hamid Sabzevari while Hamid-Reza Shahangi put the words to music.

The student group also performed the song at Tehran’s Mehrabad Airport on February 1, 1979 when Imam Khomeini returned to Iran years after living in exile outside of the country.
