‘The Blackout’ to vie at Cefalù Film Festival

Iranian short film ‘The Blackout’ is slated to be screened at the Cefalù Film Festival in Italy.

Mojtaba Mirshekari’s short “centers on a wealthy man who visits an art gallery, and following some mysterious events, he suddenly becomes the subject of one of the paintings,” a synopsis of the film reads.

The Cefalù Film Festival hosts films from around the world and provides a place to make art and to have dialogue.

The festival awards the best film one thousand Euros. Other awards are the special jury prize, the best director award, the best actress and best actor awards, the best foreign short film, the best animated short film, the best script, and the best music.

The 2021 edition of the event is currently underway from February 1 to 28.
