Actor of ‘Kimia’ series Ali Ansarian dies of coronavirus

Former Iranian football player and actor Ali Ansarian has passed away of COVID-19 on Wednesday.

The actor, now on ifilm schedule with ‘Kimia’ series, died at the age of 43 at the Farhikhtegan Hospital in Tehran.

Ansarian's doctor said on Tuesday the physical condition of the former Perspolis FC, Esteghlal FC, and Team Melli defender has deteriorated.

His lung images did not show much of a good condition, and his situation was complicated and not stable.

The actor passed away following another Iranian ex-footballer and his friend, Mehrdad Minavand, who lost his life at the age of 45 last Wednesday after losing the battle against coronavirus, as well.

Ansarian started his football career in Fajr Sepasi FC in 1996. He also represented Iran’s Team Melli from 1998 to 2007.

He entered the world of acting with the comedy series ‘Under the City Sky’ in the 2000s.

Afterwards, he appeared in a number of movies and series, including ‘Wives Club’, ‘Good Feeling of Life’, ‘Two Days to Stay’, ‘Torpedo’, ‘Judgment of July’, ‘The Beginning’, ‘Reward of Silence’, ‘The Worst’, ‘Rental House’, ‘Kimia’, and ‘Aspirin’.

His latest movie ‘Romanticism of Emad and Touba’ is now being premiered at the 39th edition of the Fajr Film Festival.
