‘The Forbidden Fruit’ star Ali Nasiriyan turns 86

Iranian veteran actor Ali Nasiriyan, star of the series ‘The Forbidden Fruit’, has turned 86.

Nasiriyan was born in the capital Tehran on the 15th day of the Persian calendar month of Bahman, which fell on Wednesday this year.

Nasiriyan began his acting career at the theater in 1952.

He later made his film debut with ‘The Cow’ in 1969.

The popular actor has appeared in many movies, including ‘Mirza Nowruz's Shoes’, ‘Captain Khorshid’, and 'Saturday Hunter'.

In addition to ‘The Forbidden Fruit’, he has also taken part in various series such as ‘Hezar Dastan’, 'The Wolves', 'The Lost Paradise', 'Neighbors', 'Mankind's Land', and 'Sparrow's Dream'.

In 2002, Nasiriyan was honored as an 'Iranian National Treasure' in Theater and Film.
