FFF runner ‘Romanticism of Emad and Touba’ unveils trailer

‘Romanticism of Emad and Touba’, premiering at the Fajr Film Festival, unveils trailer.

Iranian feature ‘Romanticism of Emad and Touba’ has unveiled a trailer, while being premiered at the 39th Fajr Film Festival (FFF) in Tehran.

The movie, which enjoys the last appearance of the late actor and ex-footballer Ali Ansarian, is directed by Mehdi Sabbaghzadeh.

In addition to the late actor, Sara Bahrami is the narrator and Elnaz Habibi and Hessam Mahmoudi have played the leading roles of the film.

‘Romanticism of Emad and Touba’ tells the story of a couple, Emad and Touba, who are in deep love, but a harsh encounter helps them to improve their love skills.

A brief synopsis of the romantic fantasy reads, “Emad: I love your bunny teeth. Touba: I haven’t brushed yet”.

‘Romanticism of Emad and Touba’, unlike the director’s first film ‘Italy Italy’, has a more hopeful outlook on life.

The former Iranian football player and actor Ansarian passed away of COVID-19 on February 3 at the age of 43.

The 39th Fajr Film Festival began on January 31 and will run until February 10.

The FFF coincides with the Ten-Day Fajr ceremonies across Iran, marking the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Since its establishment in 1982, the FFF has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.
