Iranian short ‘Even an Hour Later’ to vie at US fest

Iranian short flick ‘Even an Hour Later’ has been selected to compete at the 14th edition of the Taos Shortz Film Festival in the US.

Produced and directed by Seyyed-Parviz Shojaee, the short film deals with the problem of divorce and its impact on children.

Shojaee’s short flick gives the audience a glimpse of the life of children from divorced families. It depicts a mixture of happy and bitter moments of their lives.

The cast of ‘Even an Hour Later’ includes Yaghma Yarali, Asareh Hadavand, and Yasna Maroufi.

The short flick has previously garnered the Best Film Award at the fifth edition of the La Live Film Festival in the US.

According to the Taos Shortz Film Festival’s website, “After a long uncertain COVID year, Taos Shortz Film Fest, the longest continually running film festival in New Mexico returns with a whole new selection of Global Short Films”.

The 14th edition of the fest was postponed due to the situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic. The delayed edition will be held on March 19-21, 2021.
