ifilm English TV reveals ‘The Thief of Souls’ theme song

The website of ifilm English TV has published a translation of ‘The Thief of Souls’ (2017) theme song.

The vocal of the song has been performed by Kaveh Afaq. He is also the music composer of the song and has written its lyrics.

Afaq is an Iranian singer, songwriter, arranger, guitarist, actor and painter.

He learned to play classical guitar as a child. By the age of 15, he knew how to play the electric guitar, and became interested in rock music. He began composing his own songs at the age of 17.

Afaq won the Best Performance Award in the Contemporary Music category at the 5th Iranian Resistance Festival in 2012.

He is also the founder of The Ways music band. With them, he has composed several songs for Iranian plays and movies.

Aside from his music, Afaq has also exhibited his artworks at several art galleries. His artworks are influenced by music and social issues.

‘The Thief of Souls’, produced by Abolfazl Safari and directed by Ahmad Moazzami, is about Nader Abedi, a university professor and retired intelligence officer.

Along with his team, he decides to take on a research-oriented case that deals with the negative effects social media can have on people.

The cast list of the series includes Alireza Jalali-Tabar, Kamand Amir-Soleymani, Bahram Ebrahimi-Yazdi, Elnaz Habibi, Danial Hakimi, Shiva Khosromehr, Mahmoud Pakniyyat, Majid Vasheqani, Iraj Nozari, Behnoush Bakhtiyari, Negin Motazedi, Aliram Nouraee, Vida Javan, Mohammad Omrani, Afsaneh Nasseri, and Matin Sotoudeh.
