Get to know Iranian selected artisan of Fajr Handicrafts Festival

Abbas Jalali-Kia, the artist of Iran's Markazi province, has been honored as the selected artisan of the 5th Fajr Handicrafts Festival.  

Jalali-Kia has been doing modern Islamic calligraphy wood carving for 27 years now. He says woodcarving is one of the popular methods of carvings used in Islamic art and buildings/architecture especially mosques.
