Award-winning Iranian short film 'Tulsa' is themed on one of the most tragic racist events in the history of US discrimination.

Believed to be one of the most tragic racist events in the US history of discrimination against black people, the short film ‘Tulsa’ criticizes the 1921 killings of more than 300 black people and the destruction of 1256 buildings in the state of Oklahoma.

 The Tulsa race massacre took place on May 31-June 1, 1921 when mobs of white residents were given weapons by city officials to attack black residents.

Wriited and directed by Seyyed Parviz Shojaei, the film has Hossein Darolhekma, Mohammad-Hossein Mokhtari on the cast list.

Iranian short film 'Tulsa' has won an award at the 8th edition of the International Film Festival of Political Cinema in Argentina.
