MAX3MIN fest to host Iran’s ‘The Train’

Iranian ‘The Train’ is to vie at MAX3MIN film festival in Italy.

Iranian short animation ‘The Train’ is selected to take part in MAX3MIN virtual film festival in Italy.

Made by Javad Matouri, the 2 and a half-minute short will be among the competition titles of the Italian film event’s first edition.

‘The Train’ is the story of some double-arm amputee men who have been bewitched to paddle the wheels of a train forward. They will not feel anything about the hardships of their task as what they see all the time is the heavenly images shown to them on a big screen ahead of them.

The short has already been screened at a number of global events, including the Santa Cruz Film Festival in the US, the Athens Animfest in Greece and the Tehran International Animation Festival where it won the Silver Prize for best visual effects.

‘Dog’ by Hadi Eftekharmehr, ‘Leo’ directed by Moein Rouholamini and ‘The Climax’ co-directed by Ali Jamali Motlagh and Reza Sarbakhsh are three other Iranian films to participate in the MAX3MIN film fest.

The 100 films selected for this edition of the Italian event, which is slated for March 10-21, will all be available free online for all the audiences from around the world.
