Homeless drug addicts become theater actors + Video

Iranian director forms theater troupe of homeless drug addicts.

An Iranian director has formed a theater troupe of a number of people, who were once homeless drug addicts, to help them overcome their problems.

The troupe includes 17 women and men who managed to quit addiction.

They performed a theater play in Eivan-e shams Hall in Tehran.

The play, which was not a simple one, drew a number of cultural officials.

Directed by Mir-Kamal Mir-Nasiri, the play was aimed to help the people, who were not seen in this life and whose worth was not seen, to come up on stage and receive applause.
