Iran launches cinema veterans' photo exhibition

Iran has launched a photo exhibition of renowned Iranian cineastes.

The exhibition is launched at the external environment of Iran's Film Museum prior to the Persian New Year.

Portraits from veteran artists of the Iranian cinema including Jamshid Mashyekhi, Ezzatollah Entezami, Davoud Rashidi, Mohammad-Ali Keshavarz, Ali Nasirian, Hamideh Kheirabadi, Abbas Kiarostami and Khosrow Shakibaee are on display at the exhibition.

All of the portraits are done by three artists Reza Ghavampour, Seifollah Samdian and Koroush Javan.

In addition to the portraits, there are posters of enduring and historic films such as 'Mother', 'Taste of Cherry', 'Bashu, the Little Stranger' and 'A Separation'.

The exhibition aims to acquaint cinema audiences, especially young people, with some of the works of prominent artists and veterans of Iranian cinema as well as honoring the memory of veterans and celebrities of the Iranian cinema.
