Let’s go on a tour to mausoleum of Persian poet Attar

ifilm English Website presents a pictorial report of the mausoleum of Persian poet Farid ud-Din Attar (c. 1145-1221) in the northeastern city of Neyshabur.

The historical structure has been inscribed on the National Heritage list.

Being known for his magnificent work “The Conference of the Birds", Attar is one of the most famous mystic poets of Iran, whose works were the inspiration of Rumi, Hafez, Jami, and many other mystic poets.

Located on the Silk Road, Neyshabur is one of the ancient cities in Iran, which houses several religious, historical, and cultural monuments. It is also home to the mausoleum of Omar Khayyám, another internationally known Persian poet and astronomer.  

This is the second Nowruz that people cannot go on tours to visit their selected destinations due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Every year, Iranians have a two-week New Year holiday during which they mostly go on trips. We are presenting you pictures of the mausoleum of Persian poet Attar Neishabouri, which have been a frequently visit destination for tourists from Iran and other countries.

Attar had influenced Persian poetry and literature significantly. A historical structure was built on his tomb by Amir Alishir Navaee in Timurid era that has been open to visitors. Enjoy some pictures of the site.
