Iranian doc ‘They’ to attend Detective fest in Moscow

The 23rd edition of the International Film Festival of Detective Films and Television programs on Law-Enforcement Themes “Detective FEST” has been set to host Iranian documentary ‘They’.

The documentary covers the social issue of discrimination and deaf people.

According to the producers, the documentary which is directed by Reza Abiat looks at the issue from a different perspective.

‘They’ has previously participated in various documentary festivals in Sweden, Italy, Russia, and Bangladesh.

It also competed at previous editions of the Tehran and Cinema Verite film festivals.

Hassan Shabankareh, Najmeh Hamedani, and Qasem Alekasir are among the crew members of the documentary.

The Detective FEST hosts films from different genres and aims to promote cooperation between nations through cinema and TV.

The upcoming edition of the Russian festival will be held on July 4-11, 2021.
