‘Crab’ competing at Créteil Int’l Women's Film Festival

Iranian animation ‘Crab’ is participating in the Créteil Int’l Women's Film Festival in France.

Iranian animated short flick ‘Crab’ has been participating in the Créteil International Women's Film Festival in France.

Iranian media outlets said on Wednesday that Shiva Sadeq-Asadi's ‘Crab’ is competing at the 43rd edition of the virtual festival.

The film is vying along with four films from Finland, Italy, France and Poland as part of the second group of the films taking part in the short film competition.

“A shy, withdrawn boy has his heart on being in the school theater group, but the only role offered to him is that of a crab,” a synopsis for the film reads.

The participation of ‘Crab’ in the French event marks its 14th appearance at international festivals.

The Créteil International Women's Film Festival aims to discover and promote female directors from all over the world.

The 43rd Créteil International Women's Film Festival opened on Friday and will run until April 11.
