Meet ‘Snowman’ on ifilm English TV

Iranian comedy movie ‘Snowman’ has been set to be aired by ifilm English TV on Saturday night.

Written and directed by Davoud Mir-Baqeri, the movie will hit the air at 22:00 GMT on April 10. ifilm TV will show it again the next day at 04:00, 10:00 and 16:00 (all GMT times).

The comedy is about Abbas. After being denied to receive a US visa several times, he tries a new approach and it works; he applies as a woman! While in Turkey, he meets an Iranian woman who has been stranded there by her ex-husband.

Knowing the woman, Abbas starts developing feelings for her and tries to help her overcome some troubles. The new relationship causes him to think twice about his goal of migrating to the US.

Daryoush Arjmand, Azita Hajiyan, the late Sirous Gorjestani, Akbar Abdi, Parviz Parastouee, Mohammad-Reza Sharifinia, the late Mehdi Fathi, and Zhaleh Olov are among the cast members of the film.

Made in 1994, ‘Snowman’ has been the best selling movie of the year in 1997 in Iran.
