‘Chal’ to vie at Minsk filmfest

The Minsk International Short Film Festival "Kinosmena" in Belarus is slated to host Iranian short ‘Chal’.

The film directed by Asghar Besharati will represent Iran at the 2021 edition of the event.

The film tells the story of life and death, in which a fisherman who is fishing with Chal method notices a live fish swimming in a very small pit of water.

The 60-second film has previously competed in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Indonesia.

The Minsk International Short Film Festival "Kinosmena" is an annual cultural event of the Republic of Belarus.

The 5th edition of the event is slated for April 23-25, 2021.
