Guro Int’l Kids filmfest to screen ‘Sweet Taste of Darkness’

The Seoul Guro Int’l Kids Film Festival is to screen Iranian short ‘Sweet Taste of Darkness’.

The Seoul Guro International Kids Film Festival (GUKIFF) in South Korea has been scheduled to screen Iranian short flick ‘Sweet Taste of Darkness’.

Directed by Mitra Raees-Mohammadi, the short film is about a seven-year-old boy who influenced by the character of Batman encourages his friends to cross the stairs and the street in the dark and with their eyes closed. This is while his mother is tired and disgusted with her life.

The principal objective of the GUKIFF is to present the best of contemporary and classic film for children, youth and families. Its mandate is to feature the most outstanding children’s films produced in every part of the world. Films are selected on the basis of quality and originality.

The GUKIFF also promotes contacts between industry professionals and educators to assist in developing the role cinema plays in the education and enrichment of young people.

The 2021 edition of the South Korean event will be held in Seoul on July 1-7.
