Harvesting strawberries in Iranian city of Babolsar

Iranian farmers in the province of Mazandaran are harvesting strawberries.

Strawberry fields have been in full bloom for a while in the Iranian province of Mazandaran.

In these days, punnets of strawberries can be seen in every grocery and one can hardly resist the sweet juicy fruit.

Being a popular fruit around the world, the tasty strawberry is known as the queen of berries. Though growing the red-rose fruit is so easy, it needs direct sunlight for 6-10 hours a day.

Iran’s Mazandaran province with a rich green nature and amazing climate is a great place for growing the berry.

Some 1600 hectares of Mazandaran’s fields are now planted with strawberries. The planting procedures and soil preparation start from autumn, and the product is harvested early spring. Harvesting strawberries ends around the end of the spring.

Here are some photos of spectacular strawberry fields in the city of Babolsar.
