Persian Gulf National Day: Manifestation of Iranian solidarity & identity

The tenth of Ordibehesht (April 30) in the Iranian calendar has been designated as the Persian Gulf National Day, which marks the anniversary of forcing out the Portuguese navy of the Strait of Hormuz in the Capture of Ormuz (1622).
