Corti a Ponte to screen ‘The Wooden Doll’

Iranian short film ‘The Wooden Doll’ is to be screened at the Corti a Ponte international short film festival in Italy.

Iranian short film ‘The Wooden Doll’ has made its way to the Corti a Ponte international short film festival in Italy.

The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported that ‘The Wooden Doll’, written and directed by Mohammad-Reza Misaqi, will be screened at the Italian event next month.

The film is about a lonely Afghan boy who lost his family in the war.

‘The Wooden Doll’ is starring Nabi Mohammadi.

The film previously participated at the 12th International Inter University Short Film Festival in Bangladesh, the Jharkhand International Film Festival in India, and the BUEIFF Channel film festival in Argentina.

Corti a Ponte is an international festival of short films, “characterized by an approach devoted to education in film art and the active involvement of the public of all ages and social groups”, the event’s website reads.

The 14th edition of Corti a Ponte will take place on May 10-22.
