France cinema halls to open after six months

France cinemas are planned to reopen after six months of closure due to the pandemic.

France’s cinemas and cultural venues have been scheduled to reopen on May 19.

France President Emmanuel Macron announced that cultural venues of his country will reopen gradually.

Movie theaters will be opened on May 19 with 35% capacity and the restrictions will be fully lifted on June 30.

The Cannes Film Festival is scheduled to kick off July 6.

All public places including cinema halls and cultural venues around the world went through a long shut down due to the situation caused by coronavirus pandemic.

Around 400 films are awaiting theatrical release.
