Dating back to the Ilkhanate era, the art is a kind of traditional stamp printing on cloth mostly silk, cotton or linen.
At the beginning, in the Kalamkari profession, the industry used a brush to draw on cotton and silk fabrics; making beautiful and inspiring fabrics that were widely used in aristocratic clothing.
However, as the demand for such fabrics increased and more speed of action had to be used in the production of such fabrics, the industrialists in this field turned to stamp printing.
