April and May begin rice cultivation season in Gilan province

Rice cultivation has been started since mid-April in the fields of Gilan province in northern Iran.

As the most famous product of northern Iran, Iranian rice is one of the best in the world.

Gilani farmers transfer rice sprouts, which they have long prepared in their homes, to small greenhouses called storerooms.

The best time to plant rice in Gilan province is from mid-April to May 20, and the province has 238,000 hectares of paddy lands.
