The 2021 edition of the Queens World International Film Festival (QWFF) in the US has been scheduled to display Iranian short ‘Wooden Sword’.
Co-directed by Sousan Salamat and Behzad Alavi, the short film will go on screen at the 11th edition of the US event which will take place across the Borough of Queens in New York.
‘Wooden Sword’ narrates the story of two little boys who meet and make friends over the meadow, while their fathers are struggling over a big issue on the other side of the same place.
Ahoura Salmani, Armin Farajzadeh-Motlaq, Sara Davari, Hamed Souri and Mehdi Niazi are among the cast members of the flick.
‘Wooden Sword’ went on screen at the Directed by Women film festival in Turkey.
The QWFF provides screening and professional development opportunities and an educational initiative for youth and seniors.
The 11th edition of the event is slated for June 23–July 3, 2021.
