NewFilmmakers nominates ‘I am not a wind-up doll’

NewFilmmakers Los Angeles has nominated Iranian documentary ‘I am not a wind-up doll’.

The film Amir Moniri has been nominated for best documentary award at the 2021 edition of the American event.

The doc narrates the ups and downs of a teacher in school who has tried to double her influence on students by using a new method.

This documentary, which examines a school over the course of a year, depicts a new way of doing things and shows the results after the course is over.

The NewFilmmakers NY film festival was launched in 1998. It is New York's longest-running year-round film festival.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, it is running weekly online screenings.

In addition to its weekly screening, NewFilmmakers presents regular five-day festivals.
