‘Laleh’ features Iran actors talking in English

New movie ‘Laleh’ themed on the true story of a female Iranian athlete known as the fastest race car driver in Iran features Iranian actors talking in English.

The movie in the making for 15 years is the joint production of Iran and Canada.

The Iranian actors talk in English with Persian subtitles and a dubbed version available for screening in Iranian theaters.

The flick is starring Mitra Hajjar as well as Azita Hajian, Leila Otadi, Mahmoud Ardalan and Zhoubin Rahbar.

‘Laleh’, directed by Assadullah Niknejad tells the heroic true struggle of a brilliant young woman in a patriarchal society in pursuing her dream to race cars against all odds.

Filmgoers in Iran remarked that this was a modern-style movie with authentic Iranian tone.
